This type of wagons is designed for transportation of grain and similar food products that require protection from atmospheric precipitation, with gravity loading through the upper hatches and unloading into the interracial space through the lower unloading hatches into special receiving devices. The wagons are operated on the whole network of railways of gauge 1520 mm.
